Congratulations, Olympians!
March 4th, 2010, posted in eventThe Closing Ceremonies are over, and that means it’s time to wrap up our Knitting Olympic Challenge. Twenty Olympians completed the challenge. Great job, everybody. Our winners, as decided by a drawing:

2010 Knitting Olympic Challenge
January 30th, 2010, posted in eventIf you have ever dreamed of being an Olympian, the 2010 Knitting Olympic Challenge is your chance to make your dreams come true.
Rules:
- Cast on your project during or after the Opening Ceremonies, on February 12. You may swatch before that, if you need to.
- Complete your project by the end of the Closing Ceremonies, on February 28. This includes weaving in ends. You can block your project after the competition is over.
- The project you choose must be a challenge for you to complete. It can be a project with a technique you’ve never done before (cables, entrelac) or a larger project that requires a lot of knitting (sweater, afghan). This is your chance to do more than you thought you could do.
- Bring your completed project into the store by 5 pm on March 3 to be eligible for prizes. We will take a picture of your project to be posted on our website.
All completed projects will be entered into a drawing for prizes.
Gold—$50 gift certificate
Silver—$30 gift certificate
Bronze—$15 gift certificate
Purchase your project materials at Prairie Yarns before February 14 and receive a 15% discount on yarn. The discount applies only to your Olympics project. Good luck, have fun, and go for the gold!
