About the Prairie Fiber Arts Center

We provide outstanding yarn and accessories in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Our employees are experienced knitters and crocheters who are available to assist you when you need help with your projects.

Our classes include a variety of projects from beginner to advanced knitting along with crochet classes. Spinning and weaving classes/tutoring are available on request. We also offer individual tutoring and customized classes that you request.

Prairie Fiber Arts Center supports compassionate knitting for items such as chemo caps, baby hats, socks for the homeless and hats and mittens for kids in need. We are committed to giving back to the community by supporting charitable knitting efforts.



Verna loves knitting and her favorite flower is the Prairie Smoke.


Arla has been knitting since elementary school. She makes lots of sweaters. She has too many favorite yarns to choose just one.


Carla has been knitting since the Kennedy administration. She has made over 100 sweaters. Her favorite color is purple.


Jeanne has been knitting since 2005. She makes a lot of felted slippers, hats, and scarves. When she's not knitting, she's probably dancing.


Adrienne is a talented designer and author of two knitting pattern books.


Terry has been knitting since 2003. He likes to make sweaters, socks, slippers, and hats. His favorite color is red.
